The government, through the Public Service Commission, has announced massive job vacancies amounting to a total of 1,902 opportunities across various state departments.
As per an official notice released on Monday, October 30, majority of these vacancies, specifically 1,701, are situated within the State Department for Internal Security and National Administration.
These positions within the department encompass a wide spectrum of roles, such as a government chemist, featuring a single vacancy, clerical officer II, boasting 900 available positions; and senior support staff, offering 800 vacancies.
There is one open position for the role of assistant director, gender, within the State Department for Gender and Affirmative Action.
The commission advertised one vacancy for the post of Director of Roads and Rail Transport Services in the State Department for Transport.
The State Department for Lands and Physical Planning is offering 58 vacancies for the position of Land Valuer
One vacancy was advertised for the role of Director, Internal Trade, within the State Department for Trade.
Other notable positions encompass the Director of Regional Development within the State Department for Asals and Regional Development.
A total of five vacancies were announced within the State Department for Tourism, spanning three distinct posts: Assistant Director, Tourism Research, Policy and Innovation (two vacancies), Assistant Director, Tourism Development and Promotion (two vacancies), and Assistant Director, Tourism Investment and Finance (one vacancy).
Within the State Department for Social Protection and Senior Citizen Affairs, there are 100 job openings across positions like Children’s Officer II and Social Development Officer III.
The State Department for Diaspora Affairs is also seeking qualified candidates, with 26 vacancies spanning roles such as Director, Foreign Service, Assistant Director Foreign Service, and Deputy Director Foreign Service
The State Department of Shipping and Maritime has advertised eight vacancies for the post of Shipping and Maritime Officer I.
