Mombasa County Governor Abdulswamad Sheriff Nassir has revealed plans to launch a job application app targeting the youths within the county.
The app aims to facilitate connections between young individuals seeking employment and suitable job opportunities aligned with their preferred locations and fields of interest.
During a press announcement, Governor Nassir revealed they are collaborating with the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and the Kenya Association of Manufacturers to foster job creation within the Mombasa region.
While the governor did not disclose an exact launch date for the app, he assured that it would effectively link young job seekers with fitting employment prospects tailored to their chosen locations and career paths.
“The app will be ring-fenced to only accommodate and help the people of Mombasa alone,” Nassir emphasized.
The platform will be designed to unite Mombasa’s youth with a diverse array of employment possibilities, skill development initiatives, internship opportunities, and mentorship programs.
The platform will facilitate employers in posting job vacancies and effortlessly engaging with potential candidates through this integrated system.
Recently, Nassir announced his commitment to ensuring that the inhabitants of Mombasa fully utilize the surrounding resources, notably the port.
