The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has released the placement results for students wishing to join Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC).
In an announcement released on Wednesday, August 24th, the placement agency encouraged students to log in to the student portal on the KUCCPS website to access their placement results.
“Results for placement to the Kenya Medical Training College are out. Successful applicants have been notified by SMS.” KUCCPS Stated.
The 2022 KCSE candidates had the opportunity to choose from various courses spanning certificates and diplomas.
The certificate courses include Medical Engineering, Health Records and Information Technology, Orthopedic Trauma Medicine, Community Health, Nutrition, and Dietetics.
Within the diploma category, potential options encompass Medical Laboratory Sciences, Radiography and Imaging, Health Counselling, Nutrition, Dietetics, and Community Health. The new Emergency Medical Technician Diploma course is also featured on the institution’s website.
Regarding the eligibility standards outlined by KMTC for the diploma track, prospective candidates were required to have attained a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade of C, coupled with specific grades in designated subjects.
These requirements encompass achieving a minimum grade of C in either English or Kiswahili, a C in Biology, and a C- in Chemistry. Moreover, candidates must have secured a C- in Mathematics, Physics, or Physical Sciences.
Regarding certificate courses at KMTC, the precise entry criteria differ based on the desired program. For instance, individuals seeking admission to the Public Health certificate course must achieve a mean grade of C- in KCSE.
On the other hand , those interested in the Nutrition and Dietetics certificate program must have obtained a mean grade of D+ to meet the eligibility requirements.
