The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) will reopen it’s portal tomorrow June 16, 2023.
The portal closed on June 7, 2023, after elapse of the first application window
Eligible Candidates now have until June 27, 2023, to apply for placement or revise courses in various institutions.
According to a statement issued KUCCPS on Thursday June 15, 2022 KCSE candidates who have not secured a course are invited to log in and apply again, starting tomorrow.
“This is also a chance for those who would like to apply for the first time,” the post reads.
Students who had applied earlier and failed to secure any courses that they had chosen, will have to apply again.
The placement service noted that those who have been placed in a course provisionally need not reapply.
How to Know if You’ve Been Placed
For candidates to know if they have been placed, they will wait for an SMS notification after application.
“The message will also be posted on their portal tomorrow,” KUCCPS noted.
Students only had three weeks to apply for courses in various institutions through the portal that opened on May 17, 2023.
Education CS Ezekiel Machogu asked the placement commission to immediately open the portal for students to start applying.
“KUCCPS has conformed to all conditions including publishing fees details of all programmes,” Machogu said.
Machogu noted that KUCCPS will place all qualified students in the various programmes.
