Education Cabinet Secretary, Ezekiel Machogu, has today announced that the reporting date for all Form One learners will be January 15, 2024.
Speaking during the release of the 2024 Form One selection and placement results at Lenana School in Nairobi on Monday, Cs Machogu asked students to check their results and download joining instructions, candidates can visit the ministry’s official website at www.education.go.ke or www.kemis.education.go.ke.
After downloading the joining instructions, candidates are required to present the letter to the head teacher of the primary school where they took their KCPE Examination for verification.
Machogu emphasized that the authenticity of the letter would be further verified by the principal of the admitting school.
He advised principals to confirm that the letters presented to them belong to learners on their selection list, and both primary and secondary schools can access their selection lists from the NEMIS platform.
“Principals are advised to confirm that letters presented to them belong to learners who will strictly be on their selection list. Primary and Secondary Schools can access their selection lists from the NEMIS platform,” he stated.
The CS also highlighted that the admission process for Form One students will be conducted online through the National Education Management Information System (NEMIS).
NEMIS is an online portal designed for managing and automating education data and related administrative functions.
The Ministry has developed a reporting module for principals in both public and private schools to relay the admission of each learner online.
This system aims to provide real-time data on admission and reporting trends, facilitating informed decision-making.
Machogu insisted that principals will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy, security, and integrity of their school data on NEMIS.
