The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced 8,000 internship opportunities for graduates under the The Public Service Internship Programme (PSIP) Cohort 6
In a notice by PSC on Tuesday, July 25, the Commission stated that the internship cut across various government agencies such as ministries.
Selected candidates will be entitled to a monthly stipend, as per the Commission’s guidelines.
The Public Service Internship Programme (PSIP) is a government initiative designed to empower graduates with essential technical and professional skills, providing them with valuable work experience in the Public Service.
Responsibilities for the interns involve fulfilling duties agreed upon with their supervisors, documenting acquired skills in their respective deployments, and actively participating in relevant mentorship activities and other program-specific tasks.
The Commission stated that the programme will run for one year (12 months).
Interested candidates have to meet certain conditions for them to be considered for the position.
“For appointment to an internship position, a candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university, have graduated not earlier than the year 2017; and be proficient in computer skills,’ read the notice in part.

Interested candidates were advised to visit the PSC job application portal to make the application.
Additionally, the Commission stated that it would consider all the applications based on the qualifications insisting that the selection process will be fair.
“Interested and qualified graduates are requested to make their applications through the Commission’s job portal accessible through www(dot)publicservice(dot)go(dot)ke or www(dot)psckjobs(dot)go(dot)ke,” read the notice part.
Applicants must submit their applications before the deadline of August 14th, 2023.
