This notice comes one day after the ministry announced that the passport printer at Nyayo House had broken down again.
The Directorate of Immigration Services (DIS) attributed the issue to disruptions in the supply of essential materials. However, the directorate assured Kenyans that they are working around the clock to resolve the problem.
“We are currently experiencing delays in the processing of passport applications due to a breakdown of a printing machine and disruption in the supply of essential materials. We regret the inconvenience caused and take this opportunity to convey our sincere apologies to the applicants and to anyone else affected by the delay,” the statement read in part.
